Description
  1. Rite Route Group has been retained by all well-established, niche international student recruitment  practice to seek experienced corporate Legal & immigration advisors, who can offer the highest levels of expertise and service to our clients. With offices in the UK and overseas.
  2. We are looking for an experienced and qualified legal and immigration solicitor, barrister, or advisor. You are also providing a comprehensive range of Legal advice to both business and individuals.
  3.  The successful candidate will be a highly organised team player with a good knowledge of the Higher Education sector and up to date knowledge of issues impacting international students within Higher Education.
  4. Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively and persuasively to students, staff and other stakeholders is essential.

 

Essential Duties / Role & Responsibility:  

  1. Assisting Directors in implementing the firm’s visions, plans and strategies as a whole.
  2. Maintain the organization’s legal files and ensuring that the working practices are in accordance with its policies and regulations.
  3. The Visa and Immigration Student Advice Service provides visa advice on matters regarding UK Student visas to applicants and students; and activities related to sponsor compliance and CAS issuance.
  4. As a Legal  and Immigration Advisor, you will provide immigration advice and guidance on Student visas through Live Chat, individual appointments, and email queries.
  5. Additionally, the role involves implementing polices and processes related to the organisation duties as a student sponsor including Right to Study checks, engagement monitoring, and reporting to the Home Office.
  6. Conducting their own case and assisting other employees and partners in negotiating terms, representing, and advising their clients.
  7. Ensuring the services are provided on time and updating clients constantly on the progress and costs.
  8. Providing legal services in a professional manner and adhering to the professional set of conduct by the regulation.
  9. Developing strategies to match and beast the competition and providing the quality of service that clients require.
  10. Manager your own caseload, converting enquiries from new clients.
  11. Advise clients, assess relevant documents and UK visas and immigration process.
  12. Preparing applications to be submitted to the UKVI and overseas.
  13. Stay up-to-date with the lasts changes in the UK immigration Law.
  14. Very good English Language skills and additional language is a bonus.
  15. Comply and deliver withing set deadlines.
  16. Advise on assisting in the drafting of standards, policies and procedures and their implementation to ensure RRG can upgrade its registration with meet any audit it conducts.
  17. Establish and ensure compliance with systems of working so as to meet with regulation, as required.
  18. Identify and undertake the casework, research and preparation required for cases or direct and work with the project caseworker to ensure such work is conducted, liaising with external experts for reports where appropriate.

 

Experience:

  1. Detailed knowledge of the situation facing immigration complex client in the UK.
  2. A minimum of 3 years’ experience of providing face-to-face Legal and immigration advice on Legal and Immigration matters.
  3. Qualified Solicitor or barrister with valid practising certificate; or accredited immigration advisor.
  4. Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships with clients  and others within and without the organisation.
  5. Experience of managing staff and track record of doing so effectively.
  6. Personal resilience for working closely with people in distress.
  7. Ability to work flexibly and cooperatively as part of a small diverse team.
  8. Outstanding communication skills in person and excellent written skills.
  9. Experience of working with people from varied backgrounds and faiths.
  10. Able to reflect on experience, learn from it and share insights with humility with others.
